Wateright Agricultural Tutorial
Step - 5
Calculations review and adjustment
Before Wateright generates a schedule for irrigating your crop, it is wise to double check what has been entered up to this point in time. Displayed below is the result of our chosen example for corn in Lodi using sprinklers on a fine loamy sand.
Calculations
Adjustment:
Notice that there is are two adjustment windows near the bottom. The rooting depth can be changed if maximum effective rooting depth is different than the default. There is also a universal adjustment window to change the final out put of Wateright's schedule. The defaulted number is set at 100, yet can be overwritten between 50 (reduced by 50%) to 150 (increased by 150%) in order to adjust the calculations to more accurately reflect your irrigation needs.
Upon double checking the information above and verifying that everything is correct, we can now proceed to generate a Wateright irrigation scheduling guideline specifically for corn in the Lodi area of the San Joaquin Valley using a sprinkler irrigation system on a fine loamy sand soil.
